Dear Nose, Please Stop Being Runny!

I have been having runny nose since yesterday afternoon. This morning I had sore throat too but thanks to Strep*sils, Ha*cks, warm drinks and a bowl of beehoon soup, it looks like the soreness has been reduced. But that was after the one-hour lecture I had to go through while enduring the soreness. I don't think I haver a fever but in any case, I will be visiting the doctor this afternoon to get some medicine. Both Shah and I are praing hard that my cold will not pass on to Maisarah. I also pray to Allah that this cold is just a common cold and not influenza (especially not the 'A' one or more specifically the 'H-one-N-one' type). The reason being we travelled back to KL from Penang (after our Raya in Perlis) and the flight was full with lots of locals as well as tourists. Anyway, I'm praying for a fast recovery.

Other than the my runny nose, I want to write a bit on our Raya celebration. The fiorst day was spent at my mom;s place in PJ. Second day was spent flying off to Perlis and surprising Shah's parents. Then we spent 6 days in Perlis visiting Shah's family members. Saturday was when we floew home from Penang. That was the day I almost bought a Co*ach handbag at the Penang Airport Duty Free shop. Saturday was also the day Malaysia Air*lines lost our luggage when we went to the baggage collection area at KL*IA and saw that there were no bags left on the carousel. Alhamdulillah, we got it back the same night. Shah was petty mad at me cause the ever clumsy me packed my bank books and Maisarah's duit raya inside the lost luggage. That really taught me a lesson. And now I am back at the office with a cold. So that sums up our eventful Raya celebrations. Enjoy the only picture of the three of us this Raya (as previous year, it seems that we never take more than 1 photo during Raya celebrations) and a picture of the small Princess in her beaded baju kurung.

Aidilfitri 2009

Salam Aidilfitri!

We spent the first day of Eid (today) in PJ. Maisarah wore a new blue
baju kurung with beads. Shah and I wore blue too. I'll upload our
picture when we get back to work. At the moment I'm blogging via my
phone. I have switched to 3Gbyte dataplan so that I can save more on
my phone bills since I am always going online on the phone. This is
all due to Face*book. I am so addicted to it.

Anyway, now I can go online without worrying how much my bill will
cost me. This will surely be handy when we are away on holidays.
Speaking of holidays, we are off to Perlis for eid tomorrow. I'll
write more from there via my phone.

Till then, have fun during Eid and stay safe.

Take care and best wishes...
Wassalam,
Anisa

Selamat Hari Raya

I know it is three more days to Aidilfitri but maybe some of you will be going off to your 'kampung' earlier. So, in the spirit of Aidilfitri, Shah, Maisarah and I would like to wish you all a very happy Hari Raya. Please forgive the three of us, especially me since I am the main blogger here, for all out mistakes or wrongdoings which we might have caused onto you with or without our knowing.

We will be in KL for the first day of Eid and then we'll zoom off by air to Perlis on the 2nd day. As usual, Shah's parents are in the dark of our plans to return home so if you know Shah's family, please, please, please do not let the 'cat' out of the 'bag', so to speak.

Have a joyful Eid and stay safe no matter when you're travelling or whilst enjoying the luxurious food (or fire crackers/fire works). And be extra careful not to get infected by the flu virus that is still spreading around.

Eid Mubarak!

P/S: You are also welcomed to 'beraya' at our place in PJ or Perlis if you are in the vicinity. Just get in touch ok?

Ridiculed No More

I have an iPod which was bought slightly more than 3 years ago. However, about 6 months after it was bought I was constantly ridiculed by my dear husband and sister for my lack of using it. It was left lying in my laptop backpack and was lugged back and forth between the house and office. But no more ever since last week.

As you might have guessed, Shah, Maisarah and I went back to Perlis last Thursday. Since Maisarahw as born we travelled back by plane but this time around we were confident enough to drive back to Perlis. So in order to entertain the little Princess, I downloaded some cartoons and the Kung*fu Panda movie and transferred them onto my iPod. Alas, the iPod was not used during the journey to or from Kangar. BUt it did come in handy for me while I was in Kangar. I used it to watch A*lien Vs Pre*dator Requim at night while I was putting the little girl to sleep.

While I was in Kangar, I got episodes of Gos*sip Girl Seasons 1 and 2 from Shah's brother so I am currently converting them to MP4 to be viewed on my iPod at nights. Also, thanks to Zam*Zar, I have managed to convert all 4 copies of the Twi*light Saga from pdf to txt and then into iPod Notes so that I can read them from the iPod.

So, hopefully from now on it will in use most of the time and no more reason for me to be ridiculed by my better half and sis.

A Post of All Sorts

First and foremost, thousand apologies to those who left comments in my previous posts. I read them through the pushmail on my phone but have not had the chance to reply to them. I will do so A.S.A.P.

Secondly, I think I have lost some weight. You see I weigh at 55 kg ever since I gave birth to Maisarah (or Puteri Al-Kentut, as her father call her). But around a couple of months ago I found out that I had gained 2 kilos. Soon after that, I started wearing Pre*mium B. But I don't think that is the reason why I dropped those kilos. I think it is due to the 'side effect' of the H1N1 season which has caused me to ditch using the elevators and climb 77 steps around 4-5 times a day. I hope I wil continue to use the stairs after this.

Thirdly, we are now close to entering the third quarter of Ramadhan. Alhamdulillah I am still providing enough milk for the small girl. InsyaAllah, I ope to do so for the next 2 months when she reaches two years of age.

Fourth, this brings me to write abit on Puteri Al-Kentut's stories. (You should listen to her call herself by that name. Note to self: 'Hish, jahat betul mommy and abah ni panggil nama anak yg bukan2'.) She is getting more active and happier by the day. She just can't keep still and is always running and dancing around. Shah also calls her 'Anak Tiger' and when we ask her 'Macam mana bunyi anak tiger?', she will give a sweet and soft roaring sound. So cute! Other than that, we now are 100% sure she can tell colours and count. I think she has known them earlier but she being her playful self just loves to confuse us. She always purposely say the wrong things when we ask her anything. Eg: What colour is this? (while pointing at a blue shirt) and she will say Red.

Ok, I think I have exceeded my 'short post' legth limit. So I will write more next time! Au Revoir! Arrivedercci! (as Jennifer Gardner says in '13 Going on 30')

Bloging from Shah's E71 in Perlis

Shah, Maisarah and I are in Perlis now and I am bloging using E71 belonging to Shah. We arrived here yesterday afternoon at 12pm. My darling husband took 5 hours to reach here which was frowned upon by my in-laws. Even so they were delighted to see us 2 days ahead of our original arrival date. This was the surprise we planned for them. Shah told them that we were going back to Perlis on Saturday but in truth we had taken leave on Thursday to spend more time in Perlis.
