Mama's back home

The past weekend was a mixture of fun and work. On both mornings we went out to the city centre to find Abang a pair of shoes and a new handphone. He got both on Sunday plus a new PS2 game and the final book in the Dan Brown collection which we didn’t have. So you can say that we’re now die-hard fans of Dan Brown. Speaking of which this Thursday there will be a documentary on Channel 4 about the truth of Dan Brown’s ‘The Da Vinci Code’. We’ll certainly be watching it. Lately we’ve been watching lots of documentaries. We’ve watched two shows on Einstein regarding his Theory of Everything and the famous equation E=mc2. I think both Shah and I are intrigued at the geniusness (if there is such a word) of Einstein and how he came up with three of his greatest theories all in the same year. I wish I were even half as intelligent as him. If I were than I would have been able to finish my PhD ages ago. I’m still writing up and it seems as though it’s taking forever. Especially when you have to plot graphs nicely and place them neatly in the Word document. I really need to speed up and try not be too meticulous in my work.

I called home yesterday coz Mama, Auntie and Uncle Yunus had just arrived home from Mecca. They went there to perform their pilgrimage (Hajj) to the Islamic Holy City of Mecca and alhamdulillah they arrived home safely. According to Mama everything went well. I’m glad it all went fine for them and I wish when Shah and I do go for our Hajj we too will be able to go through it with no major hiccups.
