Hi, I've been a silent reader of your blog and am very inspired reading about your breastfeeding journey! I'm breastfeeding myself (a month now since I delivered) and I'm wondering about the baby sling you're wearing provides nursing privacy. If it does, where can I get one? It looks like the one from BabyLoft, but I was wondering if they sell those in a real store so that I can try it out. What is your take on it? Would be glad if you could oblige me a short review on it :)
Hi Bovril Lavigne! Thanks for reading my blog although I am sorry for not updating it for almost 2 months now. Congratulations for breastfeeding ur baby. I hope we will both continue to give the best to our babies.
Most ring slings will provide nursing privacy. I have actually tried nursing my baby using this sling once at home when I first got it. You can use the tail to cover while nursing unlike baby pouches where there is no tail.
Anyway, the sling I'm using is from BabyLoft. I'm not sure if the BabyLoft slings are sold in real stores but I have seen similar ring slings sold in Safe n Sound at One Utama and another baby shop in the Curve (next to Mothercare). Maybe you can check those shops. I really like using my sling, in fact nowadays I use it everytime we go out. I hope I've helped you out here. It's nice knowing you.
Thanks for the prompt reply! I'll be sure to check it at the shops you mentioned before making my purchase. I was actually torn between one of those normal carriers which costs around the same but they're not exactly practical to wear at home when I'm doing my chores (I don't have mum/help right now). Hoping my husband wouldn't mind wearing a sling in public :P
No problem. It's good to know that I helped you in some way. The normal carriers are quite restritive as you can only carry the baby in 1 ir 2 positions only whereas the sling (ring or pouch) can be used in up to 6 positions if I'm not mistaken.
