Almost One Month

It's unusual that tonight I get time to myself since 11 June when we moved into our own home.

My routine since then has been, wake up as earlyas 5am to iron our work clothes, clear the washed dishes from the rack, hang the washed clothes that Shahhas washed, then take my bath and perform solat Subuh. At around 6.40am, I'llwake Maisarahfor her shower and prepare her breakfast. We leave for work/school by 7.20 am latest.

Once we reach home from work, at around 6pm in the evening, I will perform Asar, cook dinner and have everything done by 7.30pm. Then, after dinner it'll be clean up, folding the clothes and by 9.30 I'll make sure Maisarah gets to sleep. That also means Shah and I go to sleep too. There is no time for TV or relax.

That's why tonight is different, Maisarah is asleep and I am not. i'm also writing this while watching A movie on HBO (which is a rerun and the rrason for me not really paying attention to the movie). Shah is out to pick up his parents from the airport and should be back soon.

Anyway, there has been a tremendous change in our daily activities. To others this is what they have been going through all this while. But to Me, I am still trying to cope. I am very greatful that Shah is helping a lot with the house chores. He washes the clothes, sweeps the floor and helps out with taking care of Maisarah while I cook. I am very thankful to Allah for having Shah as my husband. He has been the best and still helping me even when he is not feeling well.

I'm now praying to Allah that Maisarah will be more cheerful after school and not being as cranky as she is now. I think it is because she doesn't take her nap at school and is very tired when we reach home. And her crankiness has been causing us all to stress up. We really need to help her learn to sleep on her own without me by her side. But how? Do you have any tips?
