Alhamdulillah, I think Maisarah has got the hang of going to the toilet to pee. She only had 1 accident on Day 2 and Day 3 was accident free. My mom and I even took Maisarah out to a birthday party and she managed to let us know when she had to pee. She could even hold it in until we got to the toilet and I took off her panties. So, I think it is safe to say that we have managed to potty train her to pee successfully. However, she still refuses to do Number 2 on the potty. She will wait until we put on her diaper at night (around 7.30 pm) before she does her business.
I googled on this and found this thread from babycentre.com forum. Well, it seems that many mommies face the problem of their toddler not wanting to poop in the potty. Some suggestions which I will try on Maisarah are:
1. Explain to her that poop is left over food from our bodies which must be thrown out.
2. Take her diapered poop and dump it into the toilet and flush away and reiterate item 1 above.
3. Show her that even us adults have poop and it goes into the toilet.
Now, I will certainly will try number 1 and 2 from the list above but number 3 would be a bit disgusting. But if push comes to shove and she still doesn;t get it then I will have to ask her to see me or Shah flush away our own poop (sorry to have made you imagine yucky stuff). However, one of the mommies in the forum mentioned that she tried all the above but her son still refused to poop but one day he did it by himself. So, if all fails, I guess it will come naturally to her one of these days.

we bought an 'elmo world' dvd abt potty training for erin... even we enjoyed watching it coz they made it look fun! another tip, it helps to potty train on the actual toilet (senang bila keluar berjln nnt).
unlike maisarah, erin took 'ages' to potty train :( she still has accidents (no 1) now & again (for attention.. we think, coz we've been paying more attention to eira) .. sigh!

Jo: yes, we plan to buy the toilet seat cushion for kids. But so far bila keluar jalan she can do it while on the adult toilet. I'll also look for the elmo dvd. Thanks for the tips!
