Wordless Wednesday: She now Write Arabic Letter

Alhamdulillah, she is learning new things in school.

Second Week Update

This week started out ok in terms of Maisarah going to school. She cried a bit on Monday which was expected due to the weekend break. Tuesday came and she was chirpy when we dropped her that morning. She was excited to go to school and happy when we picked her up. Wednesday morning she was a bit sad but Thursday amd Friday she cried when Shah dropped her off. I think it may be because I didn't follow Shah to send her due to my 8am class. I think next week we will send her earlier on Thursday and Friday so that I can dro her of before class. We'll see if she still cries.

Even so, the teachers say that the crying only lasts a short while. Then she will take part in all the class activities. I always ask her what she does in school every day. Some days she does alphabet writing. She also learns numbers. And one day she told me that she has started to learn the sound of the alphabets, i.e. phonics. On Fridays they will do art and craft. Today she had to bring leaves to school for art. In the afternoon she will learn Iqra'.

I think she likes school but sometimes she misses us and that makes her cry. She always promises that she wont cry. I hope that feeling will go away soon.

Wordless Wednesday: Maisarah in Uniform

Alhamdulillah, she is doing better at school this week. Very little crying and lots of new things learned.

Maisarah's First Week of School

Alhamdulillah, we have managed to survive Maisarah's first week at school. The first day, she didn't cry when Shah and I left her at school. But the teacher said once we left she started crying and asking for me. She continued to cry most of the morning but only a little in the afternoon. When I arrived to pick her up that Monday, she cried the moment she saw me.

As the week progressed, she still cried in the morning. But in the evening when we picked her up, she told us stories on her friends, what she ate at school and what she did during the day. She mentioned about learning the alphabets, learning Iqra', performing solat and what she did with her friends. A few names of friends were also mentioned.

Even so, I still think the crying will continue next week. Just now, as we were sitting and watching the TV, Maisarah said that she doesn't want to go to school on Monday and started crying. I think it will be difficult to prevent her from cyring when we send her next Monday. I keep on praying that she will like the school soon. Do any of you mom's out there have any tips on this?

The Move

Alhamdulillah, we have officially moved in to our own home. The home which we have been lovingly furnishing since early 2010. We are very tired but happy. As I mentioned before, this is the first stage. There are still more things at my parent's place. We'll move them over slowly. Ok, I've got to go now. Will blog again later.
